Our good buddy Ronny recently went across the pond to do some exploring. He and his girl Thea rambled around Norway and managed to get engaged between drinks and crazy hikes! He came back with some amazing shots and sat down with us to narrate.

“Our flight to Norway landed around 4:00 in the afternoon, and we had to drive seven hours across the country to get to a town called Odda.”

“One of the best parts of the trip was the drive because it was so beautiful.”

“Every single mountain and hill you drive by, there’s a waterfall. It was hard to even figure out where all this water was coming from.”

“I was able to really get after it on these roads going double the speed limit in the rented BMW. There was nobody else out there. It was awesome.”

We didn’t get to our Airbnb until around midnight, slept for about five hours and set out on this crazy, 14-hour hike. It’s called “Trolltunga,” which of course means “Troll Tongue.”

“We had never really been on an actual hike before, and this one was rated ‘expert level,’ but we were like ‘Meh, whatever. It’s just a hike.’”

“By that time we were up on that rock, we were cold, tired, soaking wet.”

“I had it set in my mind that that’s where I was going to propose to her. The weather sucked, but I’m glad I didn’t talk myself out of it.”

“I don’t even remember if I actually asked her to marry me. I think I just pulled the ring out, and she was like, “Ok, awesome! I love you, but close that box, and let’s get the hell off this rock.”

“It was worth it, it was beautiful, and I’d do it again.”
